Speed and Red Light Cameras in NHV

Every Street Safer.
Every Journey Smarter.

Automated Traffic Safety Cameras

Over the next few months, the New Haven Traffic & Parking Department will continue to install red-light and speed safety cameras throughout the city. These cameras work to deter speeding and red light running by recording photo and video evidence of traffic violations, automatically issuing citations to the registered vehicle owner in the mail. Cameras serve as a reminder to drivers that there is always a risk to getting caught speeding or running red lights. Respecting speed limits and following the rules of the road makes every route safer for all road users.
