New Haven’s shared mobility network provides convenient, affordable transportation options that make it easier to travel throughout the city without a car. Shared scooters, bikeshare, and on-demand transit help connect residents and visitors to jobs, schools, transit, shopping, services, and neighborhood destinations throughout New Haven.
Veo E-Scooters
New Haven’s shared scooter program provides a convenient transportation option for short trips throughout the city. The service is currently available in Downtown and adjoining neighborhoods and is expanding into Fair Haven and Beaver Hills.
The City is committed to growing the system responsibly as it evolves, expanding access to additional neighborhoods while maintaining clear expectations for safe riding and parking.
The program operates through a hub-based parking system, requiring scooters to be parked at designated locations approved by the City. Parking hubs help keep sidewalks clear, improve organization, and make it easier for riders to find available scooters. As the system expands, the City is introducing dedicated hub signage and other improvements to make hubs easier to identify and reinforce proper parking behavior.
Ride Responsibly
There are simple rules for using shared scooters:
- One rider per scooter
- Follow the rules of the road
- Park at designated Veo hubs
- Must be 18+ to ride
To report an improperly parked or damaged scooter, submit a report through SeeClickFix. Include the scooter ID, location, and a photo if available. Reports are sent directly to Veo’s operations team for follow-up.

Veo Access: Affordable Transportation for Eligible Riders
Through the Veo Access program, eligible riders can receive discounted fares and other benefits that make shared mobility more affordab
le. The program is designed to reduce transportation barriers and expand access to jobs, schools, transit, shopping, healthcare, and other everyday destinations throughout New Haven.
Eligible riders can enroll through Veo and begin receiving reduced-cost rides once approved.

Ride NHV Bikeshare
Ride NHV is New Haven’s public bikeshare system, offering e-bikes and cargo bikes for convenient, affordable trips throughout the city. Whether commuting, connecting to transit, running errands, or exploring New Haven, Ride NHV provides a flexible transportation option for residents and visitors. Many Ride NHV stations are located near major destinations, commercial districts, parks, and transit routes, making it easy to combine biking with other travel options.

Via NHV Microtransit
Via NHV is New Haven’s on-demand shared microtransit service. Riders can book trips through the Via mobile app or by phone (475‑303‑5467) seven days a week, providing a flexible transportation option for travel throughout the city. Via NHV connects residents, workers, students, and visitors to key destinations including employment centers, schools, healthcare facilities, transit connections, shopping areas, and neighborhood destinations.
