Shared Mobility

Affordable “first mile/last mile” transportation.

Veo E-Scooters

The City’s shared e-scooter program, introduced in May 2025, helps connect people to transit, jobs, schools, shopping, and neighborhood destinations. Reduced-cost programs are available for eligible riders, helping expand access to affordable transportation throughout the city. Scooters operate within a hub-based system, with designated parking locations near where people live, work, and travel. These hubs help keep sidewalks organized while providing convenient access to shared mobility.

New Haven currently offers Veo electric scooters downtown and is expanding service into Fair Haven and Beaver Hills. This expansion will improve access to affordable transportation options while supporting safer, organized parking through a hub-based system.

Riding Safely and Reporting Smartly

There are just three easy rules for riding:

  • One rider per scooter
  • Ride vehicles predictabley by following the rules of the road
  • Park scooters at designate hubs located around the City

To report a scooter issue, take a photo of the scooter or issue, note the frame or vehicle ID, provide the location, and briefly describe the issue. Reports are sent directly to Veo’s operations team, allowing them to respond quickly by relocating scooters or addressing safety concerns.
